This film won the Annual Documentary Award at the 2011 Youth Film Handbook. This film received the VPRO IDFA Award at the Amsterdam International Documentary Film Festival. In 1990, Zhang Changhua (played by Zhang Changhua) and Chen Suqin (played by Chen Suqin), a couple living in Huilong Village, Guang'an District, Sichuan, left their twin daughters behind to work in Guangzhou in order to provide a better life for their family and ensure that their children, Zhang Qin (played by Zhang Qin) and Zhang Yang (played by Zhang Yang), could receive a good education and escape the hardships of rural life like they did. They worked hard to send money home, returning to reunite with their family only once every few years for the New Year.
