Ma Laoliu (played by Ren Dahua), A Long (played by Zheng Haonan), and A Miao (played by Shi Qilian) are childhood friends who grew up together. After growing up, Ma Laoliu goes to the United States alone, while A Long and A Miao get married. Years later, Ma Laoliu returns from abroad, seemingly a successful man. After their joyful reunion calms down, A Long and A Miao decide to follow Ma Laoliu to the United States for an adventure. Ma Laoliu first takes A Miao out, but A Long is surprised to find that his wife has gone missing. Filled with doubt, A Long personally comes to the United States and discovers that Ma Laoliu is involved in illegal activities there. An unexpected incident turns A Long into a wanted fugitive, shattering the lie that Ma Laoliu had carefully constructed; it turns out that Ma Laoliu deceived A Miao, saying that A Long had died in a car accident. In her sadness and despair, A Miao remarries Ma Laoliu. After the lie is exposed, A Long and A Miao finally reunite.
