In a room filled with blood, there is no corpse to be found, leading to a sensational murder mystery that has shocked North Korea. In a creepy backyard, a house is covered in blood, and the owner, Min Soo-hyun, has seemingly evaporated. Min Soo-hyun's father is offering a large reward to find his son. The ambitious police captain, Young-dah (played by Oh Dal-soo), has started searching for Min Soo-hyun with all his efforts. On the other hand, medical apprentice Kwang-soo (played by Yu Deok-hwan) accidentally acquires a corpse for an anatomy internship, only to discover it is Min Soo-hyun's body. Facing the crisis of being a murder suspect, Kwang-soo seeks the help of private detective Jeon-ho (played by Hwang Jung-min) and entrusts him with the case. Tempted by the huge reward, Jeon-ho accepts the case and recruits the medically knowledgeable Kwang-soo as his assistant. Detective Jeon-ho, medical apprentice Kwang-soo, and female inventor Soon-deok track down the five clues left behind. Clues found in the victim Min Soo-hyun's room include white powder and oddly shaped dolls. Jeon-ho and Kwang-soo disguise themselves to approach the female inventor Soon-deok (played by Yoon Ji-won) and acquire necessary equipment, such as wiretaps. They later learn that the unidentified white powder is toxic and circulating secretly in the market. They deduce that the last place Min Soo-hyun was active before death was a traditional arts troupe. At this time, a second murder occurs. Even more shocking is that the victim is the police chief, who holds absolute power. Moreover, the crime scene is the exact place where Min Soo-hyun was last seen alive. Eager to solve the case, Young-dah intends to create a false narrative and find a scapegoat to close the case quickly. However, Jeon-ho and Kwang-soo analyze that these are the same perpetrators and discover new evidence on the police chief's corpse, a blood-stained cloth. Uncovering the astonishing secrets and conspiracies behind the murder case! With the clues they have, Jeon-ho and Kwang-soo head towards the traditional arts troupe. Despite their ominous feelings, they resolutely pursue the case to prevent another murder from occurring.
