This documentary chronicles the story of Juan Catalan, a man accused of murder in 2003, who was at Dodger Stadium watching a game with his daughter at the time. Even though Juan Catalan produced his ticket stub, it could not support his alibi. To prove his innocence, he had to find footage of himself and his daughter among the 56,000 spectators present that day. How would such a vast stadium make it possible to locate their image? After being imprisoned for six months, Juan Catalan's lawyer discovered a unique opportunity to finally prove his innocence. On that day at Dodger Stadium, a film crew was shooting a comedy reality show starring Larry David, and coincidentally, they captured footage of Juan and his daughter. Nearly 15 years after this wrongful conviction case, it has become a documentary produced by Netflix, detailing how the LAPD relied on erroneous testimonies and how prosecutors relentlessly sought to convict him, among other processes. The twists and turns of this story are quite compelling.
