Xiang (played by Wong Jing) is exceptionally talented and, along with his second uncle (played by Lam Ching Ying) and third uncle (played by Ng Man Tat), are disciples of the Maoshan gambling technique. Xiang and his third uncle, with a bit of wit, open a gambling company where gamblers can seek advice for any issues they face. The Hong Kong female gambling god Gao Shaoshao (played by Sandra Ng) is conspired against by the Thai gambling king Nai Cai and his witch assistant, leading to her untimely death and transformation into a vengeful spirit. Unable to bear her wrongful death, Gao Shaoshao seeks out Xiang for revenge, and he, unable to resist her persistence, agrees to help her. Gao Shaoshao's sister Gao Dou Dou (played by Chiu Shuk-Ching) also wants to avenge her sister and becomes acquainted with Xiang, developing feelings for him. Second uncle, feeling pity for Gao Shaoshao's tragic death, joins Xiang and third uncle in challenging the Thai gambling king Nai Cai, igniting a battle between Maoshan gambling techniques and Thai witchcraft.
