Zachary Levi has confirmed his role in Sony's live-action adaptation of [Harold and the Purple Crayon]. The film is scripted by David Goldwyn and Michael Handelman, who also worked on [Night at the Museum 3]. The original storybook, written by Crockett Johnson, was published in 1955 and tells the tale of a 4-year-old boy who uses his magical crayon to create the world around him. The book was a huge success, leading to six sequels, and Sony has previously created an animated version based on the story.
