Director Qiu Dingping, known for romantic artistic films, makes his first attempt at a crime thriller, while the stunningly elegant Guan Zhilin takes on the role of a calculating femme fatale who schemes for men’s money for the first time. However, both police officer Liang Jiahui and drug lord Wang Minde find themselves inexplicably infatuated with her. The plot describes new drug dealer Wang Minde's desire to monopolize the market, colluding with an investment company manager to embezzle company funds for drug trafficking. Unbeknownst to him, the manager, infatuated with Guan, has already diverted part of the funds to her name. When this is uncovered, the manager commits suicide, prompting Wang to suspect that Guan has embezzled the entire sum and to seek an opportunity to get close to her. Meanwhile, Liang, having evidence of Guan’s crimes, coerces her into becoming an undercover agent to gather evidence against Wang. Their relationship evolves from mutual exploitation into a subtle love triangle. The film’s visuals are vibrant and colorful, starkly contrasting with the dark, understated tones typical of most crime thrillers, yet it still incorporates commercial elements such as chase scenes and damsels in distress.
