This animated film is a puppet show. The story of "Mr. Dong Guo" comes from the Ming Dynasty work "The Tale of the Zhongshan Wolf" by Ma Zhongxi, which tells of Mr. Dong Guo saving the Zhongshan wolf, only to be nearly harmed by the wolf in return. The kind-hearted Mr. Dong Guo, carrying a bag of books, was on his way with a donkey when an injured wolf ran up to him, claiming to be a good wolf being chased by hunters, begging him for help. Mr. Dong Guo felt pity for it, emptied the bag of books, and let the wolf hide inside. When the hunters arrived and asked about the wolf, he claimed not to know anything. The moment the wolf came out of the bag, it revealed its true nature, saying it had been cooped up inside for a long time and was starving, demanding that Mr. Dong Guo fulfill his role as a good person and become its meal. Just when Mr. Dong Guo was at a loss, a farmer arrived and devised a clever plan to capture the wolf. Mr. Dong Guo realized that being kind to others must be done with caution.
