In the late Qing Dynasty, a sum of money donated by overseas Chinese from Nanyang for the Yunnan uprising was secretly delivered to the border area. This immediately drew the attention of the Qing court, and the Qing court's enforcers, Egeler and the Fanhu siblings, ambushed the envoy going to collect the funds halfway. A young Hani sacrificed his life to protect the envoy from Xiao Kun Meng. After returning to the chieftain, Xiao Kun Meng was suddenly proposed to by Yan Le, who had returned from studying abroad in Nanyang. In light of his late wife's memory, the chieftain agreed to his daughter Nan Po's marriage and scheduled the wedding to take place in two days. Xiao Kun, the chieftain, originally used his daughter's wedding as a cover to lead his disciples out of the house to deliver the funds needed for the uprising. Amid the grand wedding procession, Xiao Kun Meng and Yan Han quietly left their sedan chair. On the wedding night, Miss Nan Po was still worried about her father and elder brother, sneaking out to follow them. However, she could not have imagined that her husband Yan Le also followed her out right after. It turned out that Yan Le was a spy sent by the Qing court, intending to infiltrate the chieftain's residence through marriage and to conspire to suppress the uprising that was being prepared. The group escorting the funds, led by Xiao Kun Meng, was ambushed by Fanhu and others at a restaurant. Fanhu and his companions were severely beaten, just as an elderly Manchu suddenly attacked from the air with such high martial prowess and ferocity that Xiao Kun Meng's group found it difficult to defend. Suddenly, an iron bullet shot through the air, shocking the elderly Manchu, and Yan Han took the opportunity to help his master and escape through the door. The elderly Manchu was none other than Egeler, the Qing court's enforcer, while the one who fired the shot was the master of Xiao Kun Meng, Fang Ting Tai. Yan Han and the severely injured Xiao Kun Meng took refuge in a bamboo building in Manbeng Zhai, where several assassins attempted to attack in the middle of the night, prompting Yan Han to draw his sword and chase them out. Just as Yan Han left, the injured Xiao Kun Meng was secretly attacked by the female innkeeper. Upon hearing the tragic news, Nan Po was heartbroken, while Yan Le instigated discord from the sidelines, leaving Yan Han with no choice but to leave alone to find the murderer of his master. Nan Po vowed to inherit her father's will, to avenge the murderers, and to deliver the funds. She used Yan Han as a touchstone, skillfully maneuvering and secretly investigating, finally discerning the truth amid the complex events. She fought to the death against the Qing court's enforcer Egeler and the Fanhu siblings, ultimately avenging her father and joining the revolutionary army with the uprising funds.
