M was born into an overseas Chinese family. In his 20s, he hadn't found a proper job and had to make a name for himself as an obscure gaming streamer at home. One day, his grandmother was diagnosed with cancer and given only a year to live. This prompted M to think about inheriting his grandmother's property. He went to see his grandmother, who lived alone, wanting to take care of her in her final days. Over time, M sincerely tried his best, and he gradually realized that his grandmother was actually very lonely. Although she had three children, they rarely visited her. The eldest son was too focused on his own family, while the youngest was deeply in debt due to gambling. She endured everything by herself because she didn’t want to burden her children. Despite loving each of her children wholeheartedly, she received no equivalent return. Gradually, M no longer saw the house as his goal; he genuinely wanted to accompany his grandmother during her last days. As her condition worsened, she gave the house to her youngest son, who was in debt. M was furious; he felt his grandmother had misplaced her love since the youngest son didn't appreciate it at all. However, when he saw his frail grandmother lying in the nursing home, he felt that nothing mattered as long as he could still be with her. The good times didn’t last long, and his grandmother passed away. M received a call from the bank informing him that his grandmother had saved a large sum of money for him. This had been prepared by her since M was a child, accumulated over the years from selling congee. At that moment, M realized the depth of his grandmother's love and understood the importance of family ties.
