"Love at Parting" is a very simple love movie set in the spring-like city of Kunming, telling the love stories of two pairs of young men and women. The first story: The male lead, "Li Qingfeng," is a photographer from Beijing. His first stop in Yunnan is the provincial capital, Kunming, where he plans to stay for two or three days before heading to Dali and Lijiang. When he visits the famous Cuihu Park, he unexpectedly meets the female lead, "Wang Mei." They both love photography and quickly become friends after an instant connection. The second story: Liu Yuchen is an ordinary office worker who works hard every day to buy the house of his dreams. Unfortunately, his girlfriend Lu Xinyan suffers from a congenital heart disease, shattering their dreams. Lu Xinyan doesn't want to burden Liu Yuchen and proposes to break up, wishing to spend her final days in the snow-capped mountains.
