Senior clerk Guo Jingzhong (Ling Yun), along with his wife Chen Meijuan (Liu Huiru) and sister Carrie (Jiang Shan), takes a ferry to a remote island for vacation. On the same ferry are twenty-two young male racers and nine young female racers. They seek thrills through reckless driving and are thus referred to as the "racing gang." Each racer brings a motorcycle for the trip to the island. The leader of the gang, a cold young man named Zunni, has a younger brother, Michael, who is arrogant and enjoys causing trouble; he is also part of the gang. On the ferry, Michael sees the athletic and sexy Carrie and tries to flirt with her. Zunni, aware of Guo Jingzhong's presence, stops Michael before the situation escalates. Upon arriving at the island, Guo Jingzhong and his companions head to a secluded villa owned by Carrie’s boyfriend, Huang Siwei (Li Xiuxian). When they reach the villa, Siwei is out fishing by the sea. Guo Jingzhong takes Siwei's car to drive Meijuan and Carrie for a spin in the countryside, but they are repeatedly pranked by the racing gang, leaving Meijuan and Carrie shaken. Since the island lacks a police station, and the water police only patrol once a day at nine in the morning and do not operate on Sundays, Guo Jingzhong cannot call for help. That night, Guo Jingzhong, Huang Siwei, Meijuan, and Carrie gather in the house to eat seafood, while the racing gang camps outside. With twenty-two young men but only nine young women, Zunni decides to have a motorcycle race to determine who can have the girls. As a result, thirteen of the racers are eliminated, while the remaining ones spend the night together in tents. Bored, Michael and his friends come to Siwei's villa to cause trouble. Siwei and the others manage to drive them away. Meijuan, overwhelmed, insists on returning the next morning. Siwei, unable to keep them, prepares to drive them to the dock for an early boat but discovers that the tires of his car have been damaged by the racers. Out of options, Siwei decides to use his speedboat but finds that it has also been taken out to sea by the racers. Siwei and Jingzhong then take a small wooden boat to retrieve the speedboat, leading to a confrontation at sea with the racers. Meanwhile, Michael seizes the opportunity to lead several racers into the villa. As a result, Meijuan is assaulted, and Carrie dies while struggling with Michael. After the racers leave, Guo Jingzhong and Huang Siwei return to the house to find the shocking scene and are filled with grief and anger. Siwei immediately takes a motorcycle and charges into the racing gang's camp, knocking down several racers. However, he is later struck in the head by a stone thrown by a racer and stumbles home, where he dies. Zunni, upon learning that Michael and the others committed the assault and murder, is shocked and urges everyone to keep quiet and leave quickly. By this time, Meijuan has lost her sanity and runs into the woods alone. Unbeknownst to her, Michael is there relieving himself, and upon seeing Meijuan, he immediately intends to assault her. Fortunately, Guo Jingzhong arrives just in time, knocks Michael unconscious, drags him back to the house, and ties him up to turn him over to the police the next morning. Zunni and the other racers reach the dock only to learn that Michael has been captured, prompting them to hurry back to rescue him. Guo Jingzhong locks the door tightly, refusing to hand over Michael. Zunni and the other racers then launch a fierce assault on the villa. Guo Jingzhong employs various methods to prevent the racers from breaking in through the windows and doors, triggering a thrilling siege. Just as the battle reaches its peak, the water police boat appears on the horizon...
