This film stars "Little Lark" Gu Mei and features a group of popular singers in cameo roles. It is a romantic comedy about the love story between a pop star and a reporter. Gu Mei plays the famous pop star Little Lark, who comes to Hong Kong from Bangkok to perform, and accidentally meets the clumsy reporter Liu Shitai, played by Chen Hou. In order to investigate a scandal, Shitai pretends to be a big name in the entertainment industry from the Nanyang region to get close to Little Lark. Amidst the humor, genuine feelings develop between them. The film features several classic songs, including "Empty Dream" sung by Gu Mei, "Flower Moon Good Time" sung by Fang Yihua, and "Tears of a Lover" sung by Pan Xiuhong.
