Wu Yaqiu (played by Ng Yat-han) and Beethoven (played by Chan Kin-hun) are a pair of comical officers in the Hong Kong police's anti-triad unit. This duo of brothers-in-arms is carefree and unprofessional, having been in the force for over a decade yet still remaining junior officers. Luckily, their optimism and the care shown to them by Sir Chan (played by Chan Yan-kin) allow them to thoroughly enjoy this leisurely lifestyle. As the saying goes, "fools have their fortune," and Yaqiu unexpectedly attracts the attention of Sir Chan's secretary, Anna (played by Yip Tak-hin). They are tasked with investigating businessman Xia Zhengyi (played by Chan Lung), who has become wealthy through illegal activities, but he is cunning and leaves no clues. Xia's mistress possesses a ledger of his various crimes and uses it as leverage against him. Xia orders his men to kill the mistress, and Yaqiu and Beethoven become the first to discover the body. In order to obtain the ledger, Xia later turns on his mistress's cousin. Will Yaqiu and Beethoven be able to bring the criminal to justice?
