Roberto (played by Stephen Chow) lives with his mother in Chinatown, New York. Approaching thirty, Roberto is a notorious playboy with no intentions of settling down, and his mother can no longer tolerate his reckless lifestyle, giving him an ultimatum to marry a Chinese girl. Forced to return to Hong Kong, he seeks refuge with his aunt and embarks on a plan to pursue girls with his cousin, Zhang Dage (played by Eric Tsang). Dage is infatuated with the movie star Lin Xiaoxia (played by Zhang Tianai) and, hoping to impress his cousin, Roberto showcases his advanced overseas dating experience to win the right to get close to Lin Xiaoxia through a bowling showdown. Their rivalry heats up, leaving Dage sidelined. A restaurant waitress named A-Hua (played by Liu Lanxi) falls for Roberto at first sight, and he takes the opportunity to get closer to her. However, Lin Xiaoxia sees through his actions and storms off. Roberto makes efforts to mend his relationship with the movie star while A-Hua, under her father's guidance, starts a charming pursuit of Roberto.
