In the newly opened subway, young Chen Baoluo (played by Leslie Cheung) falls in love at first sight with the fellow passenger Monica (played by Maggie Cheung), but unfortunately, another passenger, Annie (played by Anita Mui), takes the opportunity to tease him. These young people soon scatter in the vast crowd, with the workplace rookie Chen Baoluo starting to busily pursue his job, while Monica is distracted by unresolved feelings for her boss. One day, Baoluo and Monica meet again, and the wealthy young lady Annie reappears, half-teasing and half-flirting with Baoluo.
