A group of green forest heroes who rob the rich to help the poor has gathered around Huang Yinggu, posing a threat to the landlord bully Zhou Bapi and his accomplices. Zhou Bapi summoned the puppet army leader Ma Tuanzhang and the police chief to discuss strategies for capturing Huang Yinggu. Huang Yinggu comes and goes without a trace, leaving Zhou Bapi, Ma Tuanzhang, and the police chief terrified; their multiple attempts to capture her have all failed, while Huang Yinggu's senior apprentice, Geng Tiesuo, inadvertently falls into the hands of the bully Zhou Bapi. Huang Yinggu goes alone to rescue Geng Tiesuo, simultaneously saving a peasant dressed countryman, Liu Qinglin. Liu Qinglin claims to be from Sanligang and insists on meeting Huang Yinggu, strongly urging her that "only by uniting with the poor common people can we take revenge and drive away the Japanese invaders." Huang Yinggu remains unmoved and lets Liu Qinglin descend the mountain. Soon after Liu Qinglin leaves, Huang Yinggu half-way saves and shelters an old man who was bullied by the puppet army. Fengxia and Shuangxi are in love, and Huang Yinggu takes the lead to arrange the marriage between Fengxia and Shuangxi for the Mid-Autumn Festival. On the night of the Mid-Autumn Festival, Huang Yinggu's stronghold is adorned with lights and joy as Shuangxi and Fengxia get married, enraging Wang Yinsheng, who drinks, curses, and complains. The old man that Huang Yinggu entrusted to Wang Yinsheng takes advantage of the situation to knock Wang Yinsheng out and sets a mountain fire to signal to Ma Tuanzhang below the mountain. Ma Tuanzhang leads people to attack the stronghold, and Huang Yinggu and Geng Tiesuo retreat separately. It turns out that the old man Huang Yinggu saved was a spy sent by Zhou Bapi. Huang Yinggu and her group are forced into a village by Ma Tuanzhang, and in a desperate situation, a middle-aged man disguised as a peasant leads them out of the predicament through a tunnel, where they encounter Liu Qinglin, whom they previously rescued. Coincidentally, Huang Yinggu also meets her lifesaver, Liu Qinglin's mother. Liu Qinglin is the leader of the anti-Japanese armed forces. Under Liu Qinglin's guidance of "fighting the Japanese and killing the landlords, it's not right to have a dull heart," Huang Yinggu agrees to join Liu Qinglin in the fight against the Japanese. Before long, Huang Yinggu establishes contact with Geng Tiesuo and gathers him and his group to Sanligang. Wang Yinsheng betrays and defects, leading the puppet army leader Ma Tuanzhang into Sanligang, causing significant damage to the anti-Japanese armed forces base there. The puppet army leader Ma Tuanzhang launches a surprise attack on Sanligang, and the reckless Geng Tiesuo refuses to follow orders, disguises himself as a Japanese soldier, and secretly enters the city to attack Ma Tuanzhang, disrupting the plans of Liu Qinglin and Huang Yinggu. Fortunately, Huang Yinggu comes to the rescue in time, preventing a major disaster. Geng Tiesuo is defiant, and with Wang Yinsheng stirring trouble, Geng Tiesuo leaves the anti-Japanese armed forces, resulting in an ambush by Ma Tuanzhang and the Japanese puppet army. Huang Yinggu rides out to rescue him but is unfortunately besieged. In a critical moment, Liu Qinglin arrives with his team, and together with Huang Yinggu, they annihilate the Japanese puppet army, punish the bully Zhou Bapi, and lead the group to a new anti-Japanese front.
