The Decepticon's advance team, Barricade and Scorponok, attacked the U.S. military base in Qatar. Meanwhile, Barricade helped his partner, Frenzy, infiltrate Air Force One, the U.S. President's aircraft, where they discovered that to find Megatron, they needed to locate the pair of glasses belonging to the Witwicky family, which contained vital information about the energy cubes. The current owner, Sam Witwicky (played by Shia LaBeouf), became a target for the Decepticons. Sam is a high school student, and no one at school believes his stories about the glasses. In disappointment, he puts the glasses up for auction online, but they garner no interest. At this time, his father gifts him a beat-up car, which turns out to be Bumblebee, a Transformer from the Autobots. Bumblebee helps Sam attract a pretty girlfriend (played by Megan Fox), but soon they are attacked by the Decepticons, prompting Optimus Prime and the other Autobots to arrive, leading to a battle of robots.
