The protagonist, Zhu Qingmao (played by Qin Han), witnesses his mother's infidelity during his childhood, leading him to develop deep resentment and anger towards her. Over time, Qingmao leaves his family in search of shelter and support, ultimately finding kind Aunt Wu. His mother makes several attempts to mend their relationship, but Qingmao continues to avoid her, filling his heart with doubt and hatred, especially towards women. Eventually, Qingmao is persuaded by Aunt Wu to meet his mother at a hotel. There, he mistakenly believes his mother is having an affair with another man again, but the misunderstanding is ultimately clarified.
