The impoverished Frank family has five sons, and their sixth child is about to be born. Meanwhile, another couple of middle-class lawyers are unable to have children, leading both families to engage in a transaction that skirts the edges of the law. The film creatively packages the old theme of human trafficking within the framework of a suspense genre, highlighting the commonality of human nature despite class differences. The lawyers' knowledge of the law only amplifies the irony and helplessness of their situation. The film employs a unique 1.50:1 aspect ratio to tighten the framing, focusing on the characters' expressions and psychological states, accentuating individual choices within the legal order.
