Dr. Nate Samuels (Idris Elba) has just experienced the pain of losing his wife. He decides to take his two daughters back to South Africa, where he first met his wife, and head to a wildlife reserve managed by his family friend and wildlife biologist Martin Battles (Sharlto Copley) for a long-planned trip.
