Kei Tanaka will star in the new film [Hinomaru Soul: The Behind-the-Scenes Heroes] (ヒノマルソウル～舞台裏の英雄たち～, tentative translation). The film is directed by Ken Iizuka ([Rainbow Days]), with scripts by Nobuaki Sugihara ([Sadako]) and Kenichi Suzuki (The Bad Guys: Crime Tracker). The story takes place during the 1998 Nagano Winter Olympics, where Japan won the gold medal in the men's team ski jumping event, supported quietly by 25 jumpers behind the scenes. Kei Tanaka will play one of them, Hito Nishikata. The film is set to begin filming in January 2020, with a release in June.
