In the late Qing Dynasty, imperialism intensified its plunder of our country's natural resources. In order to quickly ascertain the distribution of gold mines in Northeast China, Jin Haiqing was tasked by the garrison commander to lead 20 brothers to explore the mines. Time passed quickly, and a year went by. The exploration team endured numerous hardships and sacrificed 12 lives. Finally, they found the gold mine and mapped the mineral distribution. Just as the exploration team was preparing to return to the old camp, they were suddenly confronted by Guan Dai Shu Yunlong. At the same time, the exploration team rescued a girl named Yugu from two assailants. One night, Shu Yunlong stole the bag containing the gold map and deceived his nephew Zhu Tiehao. The next morning, the two arrived at a small wooden house belonging to the Japanese, where Shu Yunlong presented the bag to Harada Hisashi. It was only then that Zhu Tiehao realized that Shu Yunlong was a traitor. Without considering the consequences, he charged at Shu Yunlong and was knocked down by a Japanese warrior. However, to Shu Yunlong's surprise, the bag did not contain the gold map. That day, while the exploration team was traveling on a mountain path, they suddenly encountered Shu Yunlong’s ambush. Facing Shu Yunlong's threat, the exploration team found themselves in an extremely dangerous situation. At this moment, the bandit Ma Yingju arrived to assist, causing Shu Yunlong to flee. Haiqing was very grateful for Ma Yingju's help but had doubts about his constant following of the exploration team. Soon after, Shu Yunlong gathered the Japanese again to launch another attack on the exploration team. Guilty, Tiehao furiously charged at Shu Yunlong but was tragically killed by a Japanese warrior's sword, and in the chaos, Shu Yunlong kidnapped Yugu. That night, Haiqing attempted to save Yugu by sneaking into Shu Yunlong's residence, but fell into a trap and was saved once again by the timely arrival of Ma Yingju. Yugu finally revealed her identity as the leader of the bandits to Haiqing and requested that he hand over the map to her. Haiqing reasoned with her, appealing to her sense of righteousness. Moved by his patriotism, Yugu resolutely gave up her goal of seizing the map and decided to join them in the fight against the enemy. In an old gold mine, Yugu and Ma Yingju engaged in a fierce battle with Shu Yunlong, ultimately killing him, though Ma Yingju was also tragically killed. The exploration team finally returned to the old camp, where Haiqing solemnly handed the map to the garrison commander. Unexpectedly, the circuit intendant and the Japanese envoy appeared, demanding the treasure map. The garrison commander resolutely returned the map to Haiqing and fell under the steel blade of the Japanese. After a fierce battle, Haiqing also heroically sacrificed himself for the country. The surviving Yugu, standing in the chilling wind, paid tribute to the fallen heroes.
