After the Battle of Dan-no-ura, a faction of the Taira clan escaped into the deep mountains and established Tōden Village. For hundreds of years, they did not leave the mountains, living a secluded and idyllic life. However, their peaceful existence was shattered by a series of outsiders, as it became widely known that Tōden Village was buried with treasures that could help the Taira clan make a comeback. This attracted greedy and ruthless individuals. Soon, Taira Kiyomori (portrayed by Koichi Sato) arrived with his followers, driving away the treasure hunters. But Kiyomori was not a benevolent man; he used even more brutal methods to force the local villagers to reveal the location of the treasures, even going so far as to kill innocent people.
Before long, Kageyama Yoshitsune (portrayed by Yusuke Iseya), the arch-enemy of the Taira clan, arrived with his forces, leading to a series of fierce battles over the treasures, making life difficult for the local people, who began to flee. The arrival of a mysterious lone gunman (portrayed by Hidemith Ito) disrupted the balance between the Taira and Kageyama factions, causing Tōden Village to become increasingly unstable...
