On a romantic night, the talented and beautiful young woman Justine (played by Kirsten Dunst) and her beloved Michael (played by Alexander Skarsgård) step into the wedding hall. Her sister Claire (played by Charlotte Gainsbourg) and family go all out for her, spending extravagantly. However, an inexplicable panic and sadness overwhelms Justine, leaving her gloomy throughout the night. Her marriage is on the brink of disaster before it even begins, and her relationships with friends and colleagues become increasingly strained. Claire attempts to lift her sister out of her melancholia, but with little effect. Meanwhile, a mysterious asteroid is rapidly approaching Earth, seemingly bringing Justine's despair along with it; yet it also appears that the troubles long bottled up inside her have merely been released...This film won the Best Actress award at the 64th Cannes Film Festival in 2011.
