During the Edo period, there was a night of a hundred demons. Among them was a cute monster with a baby face holding a piece of tofu—Tofu Boy (voiced by Kyoko Fukada), who was mocked by his father, Lord Minemitsu (voiced by Ken Matsudaira), and his companions for failing to scare people. Upset, Tofu Boy, accompanied by the kind-hearted Uncle Daruma (voiced by Tetsuya Takeda), sets out to find his mother, whom he has never met. However, he falls into the trap of the actor raccoon (voiced by Hiroyuki Miyasako), who uses him as leverage to incite a war between the raccoons and the monsters for control of the human world. A chance event allows Tofu Boy to see the light of day again, but the outside world has already changed dramatically over the past two hundred years. In this bustling modern society, greedy humans are controlled by raccoons and have lost their reverence for nature. Meanwhile, a weather control system named SORA has been developed, and the war between the raccoons and the monsters begins once more… This film is adapted from Natsuhiko Kyogoku's original novel "Tofu Boy: The Dual Paths of Sugoroku".
