Based on certain historical facts and real-life prototypes, this film tells the story of the descendants of Liu Mingchuan, a famous commander of the Huai Army during the late Qing Dynasty and the first governor of Taiwan, protecting a rare treasure—the Guo Jizi white plate, one of the three major bronze vessels of the Western Zhou dynasty.
