The story takes place in Kurashiki City, Okayama Prefecture, where high school girl Kokone Morikawa (voiced by Mutsuki Takahata) lives with her father Momotaro (voiced by Yosuke Eguchi). Kokone excels at sleeping; no matter where she is, it seems she can fall into a dream at any time she wants. However, recently, sleep has been troubling Kokone because she keeps having the same dream over and over again. Her father seems only interested in modifying cars and is completely unaware of his daughter's worries. In 2020, just three days before the Tokyo Olympics, Momotaro is suddenly arrested by the police. Kokone firmly believes in her father's innocence, so she seeks out her childhood friend, Sado Mamoru (voiced by Shinnosuke Mitsushima), who is now in college, and together they head to Tokyo to save her father. Along the way, the girl continues to gain insights from her dreams, which turn out to be key to unraveling the mystery of her father's arrest. Therefore, Kokone decides to use her sleeping skills to embark on this adventure that intertwines dreams and reality...
