This film is another successful work by director Chau Siu-Leung and Asian film king, David Chiang. In the film, David Chiang plays a righteous, hardworking, and helpful taxi driver named Chan Kwong, who unfortunately gets involved in a bank robbery carried out by criminals and is misunderstood by the police. Later, he teams up with fellow driver Du Fa, played by Wang Chung, to gather evidence against the criminals. After a series of setbacks, they finally manage to assist the police in bringing the criminals to justice. The film was shot a year before Robert De Niro starred in "Taxi Driver," and David Chiang plays an ordinary taxi driver, but his adventurous experiences reveal the vibrant life, energy, passion, and intelligence of Hong Kong. The action choreography is by Lau Kar-Leung, ensuring the film's high quality. The director’s skills are evident in the directing and filming techniques, while the script showcases the writer's creative foundation. Shaw Brothers films continue to maintain their sense of humor, express social awareness, and possess rich local characteristics. Wang Chung, who also plays a driver in the film, was originally an acrobat and was later appreciated by director Chang Cheh, signing with Shaw Brothers as a key actor in 1969, also starring as the lead in Chang Cheh’s film "The Police."
