He hides his identity and works as a helper in a small restaurant, living a life of humiliation and bullying. The daughter of the neighbor, the blacksmith, Ba Jiao (Li Jing), falls in love with him and often encourages him to rebuild his image, but Lei Li cannot overcome his inner demons. After meeting the elegant hero Feng Junjie (Di Long), Lei Li regains his confidence in life and promises to live a secluded life with Feng Junjie after he fulfills his appointment with Long Yizhi. Unfortunately, Feng Junjie, like Lei Li years ago, falls into Long Yizhi's scheme, struggles but ultimately dies due to his enemies' strength. Upon hearing the news, Lei Li is heartbroken and vows to train his left arm to exact revenge for his good brother.
