Dundee (Paul Hogan) was raised by African natives from a young age, making him quite skilled in traditional hunting techniques. During an accident, a fierce crocodile attacked Dundee, and despite being injured in the leg, he subdued the crocodile and ultimately rescued himself through his extraordinary willpower. Su (Linda Kozlowski), a journalist, is very interested in Dundee's heroic deeds, and to write a news report about him, she travels a long way to Australia. After experiencing an adventurous and thrilling wilderness survival, Su enthusiastically invites Dundee to her "territory"—the metropolitan New York City. However, Dundee, who has never seen such grandeur, seems quite timid in the face of new experiences and ends up causing quite a few humorous incidents. Unbeknownst to them, Dundee and Su have developed feelings for each other, but Su already has a boyfriend, Mason (Mark Blum), and their wedding is approaching. As the day of parting draws near, both Su and Dundee cannot hide their disappointment.
