This film is a collection of 11 black-and-white short films, each revolving around coffee and cigarettes. One. Roberto Benigni sits in a café drinking coffee when Steve Wright comes over to chat. However, the two seem to have nothing in common, only repeating their love for coffee and cigarettes... Two. A pair of Black twins sit in a café when a waitress suddenly becomes very interested in them, sitting down to chat enthusiastically. However, the twins seem utterly uninterested in this nonsensical person, continuing to smoke and drink coffee... Three. In a café somewhere in California, pop singer Iggy Pop and Tom Waits are celebrating their success in quitting smoking by smoking. This short film won the Palme d'Or at the Cannes Film Festival short film section in 1993. … Eleven. That night, two elderly men, William Rice and Taylor Mead, sipping instant coffee and smoking cigarettes, discuss past music.
