Yang Qianhua (played by Zhang Jiahui) arrives in Hong Kong and seeks refuge under his aunt who runs a nightclub, starting as a waiter. In the nightclub, manager Uncle Chang (played by Ng Man-tat) and Pao Ge (played by Wu Zhenyu) share control. Numerous legends about Pao Ge circulate in the underworld, and Qianhua regards him as an idol. Pao Ge has always loved the dancer Qiqi (played by Yao Leyi), but unfortunately, Qiqi cannot tolerate his rough temperament and ultimately chooses to leave. Taking advantage of Pao Ge's depression, Uncle Chang plots to drive Pao Ge out, completely taking over the nightclub. After Pao Ge's departure, Uncle Chang sets his sights on Qianhua, who unwittingly falls into Uncle Chang's trap and ends up in massive debt. Homeless and destitute, Qianhua encounters Pao Ge again. They both express their outrage towards Uncle Chang, and to seek revenge and reclaim what they lost, Qianhua and Pao Ge decide to join forces to eliminate Uncle Chang.
