During the Southern Song Dynasty, the world was in chaos, with various monsters causing harm. Yet, there were also passionate seeds of love that came together to create a timeless legend. In a deep, old forest, a blue and a white snake cultivated for a thousand years, transforming into human forms, and spent their days joyfully wandering the mountains, living freely. The two snakes encountered a doctor, Xu Xian (played by Lin Feng), who was collecting herbs on the mountain. The white snake (played by Huang Shengyi) was infatuated with Xu Xian and accidentally saved his life. From then on, her heart was stirred, and she decided to descend the mountain to find her beloved. Coincidentally, during a festive occasion, the two snakes transformed into human forms and entered the city under the names Bai Suzhen and Qingqing (played by Charlene Choi). As fate would have it, Bai Suzhen and Xu Xian finally met and became husband and wife. At that time, a Buddhist monk from Jinshan Temple, Fahai (played by Jet Li), traveled with his disciple, Neng Ren (played by Wen Zhang), across the land to subdue demons. During their pursuit of the two snakes, Neng Ren was injured by a bat demon, causing his demonic nature to awaken and his resolve to waver.
