Officer Ko Ji-soo (played by Lee Sun-kyun) from the Water Source Police Station is at a critical point in his life. His mother has recently passed away, and the police department is under investigation by the prosecutor for alleged bribery involving his colleagues. On his way home for the funeral, he accidentally hits someone while speeding. Ko is left in a state of panic, trying to evade disaster, and ultimately escapes the situation through deception. Just when he thinks he has overcome the crisis, he and a colleague are tasked with tracking down a wanted criminal, only to discover that the suspect is the very person he hit. To make matters worse, someone witnessed the accident and anonymously reported it. Shortly after, a mysterious caller (played by Jo Jin-woong) reveals details about Ko Ji-soo's involvement in hitting the wanted criminal. The caller possesses a similarly respectable identity, but what hidden agenda does this unnerving figure have?
