A group of former special forces operatives (played by Ben Affleck, Oscar Isaac, Charlie Hunnam, Garrett Hedlund, and Pedro Pascal) reunite to plan a heist in a sparsely populated multi-border region of South America. These nameless heroes once enjoyed prestige in their respective careers, but that was for their country; this is their first mission that puts them in danger for themselves. However, when events take an unexpected turn and they find themselves unable to escape danger, they must embark on an epic struggle for survival, testing their skills, loyalty, and morality to the brink. The film is directed by Oscar-nominated J.C. Chandor (Margin Call, All Is Lost, A Most Violent Year) and co-written by Chandor and Oscar-winning writer Mark Boal (The Hurt Locker, Zero Dark Thirty).
