The story takes place on Christmas Eve in 1900, where Jim (voiced by Thomas Mann) gives a purebred dog named Lady (voiced by Tessa Thompson) to his lover (played by Kiersey Clemons) as a Christmas gift. Thus, Lady grows up in a family filled with love and happiness. One day, the lady of the house discovers she is pregnant, and the family's attention naturally shifts to the unborn baby, leaving Lady feeling neglected. Eventually, unable to bear it any longer, Lady decides to run away from home. The outside world is not as simple as Lady imagined; she soon encounters danger. Fortunately, a stray dog named Tramp (voiced by Justin Theroux) lends a helping paw, and under Tramp's guidance, Lady experiences the joy of freedom for the first time.
