Kanako Koto (played by Fumino Kimura), living in Tokyo, comes to Kyoto alone to take care of her injured uncle. Her uncle, Shige Oga (played by Masamichi Kondo), who has lived in Kyoto for many years, gives his niece a carefully hand-drawn map to help her navigate the city. This map captures a Kyoto rich in charm for the older generation and uniquely fascinating for the young.
