In 2010, Glasgow, Scotland. An unknown and terrifying virus runs rampant, infecting individuals with lesions all over their bodies, causing them to rot and ooze, ultimately leading to a painful death. Due to a lack of medical equipment and vaccines, the death toll reaches tens of thousands within just one week. To contain the spread of the virus, the UK government imposes a complete lockdown on Scotland, attempting to entirely isolate the virus. After that, people in other parts of the world enjoy nearly thirty years of peace, but one day in 2035, the deadly virus erupts again in London, UK. In the midst of urgent anxiety, government officials receive exhilarating news. A satellite image shows signs of life in the quarantine zone of Scotland. To find a way to combat the virus, the government sends a scientific team led by Eden Sinclair (played by Rhona Mitra) into the quarantine zone. Eden, who narrowly escaped the epidemic years ago, returns to this homeland she hasn't seen in nearly thirty years, only to find it has transformed into a brutal, survival-of-the-fittest bloodbath...
