The Central Symphony Orchestra, which had once disbanded, suddenly announced its reformation, prompting the dispersed members to congregate at a warehouse specially rented for practice. During the disbandment, the orchestra members sought various careers, and many skillful musicians were lured away by other orchestras, leaving behind mostly average and older members. Many vacant positions were filled by retired members or amateur enthusiasts. As the principal violinist, Kosaka (played by Tori Matsuzaka) had a certain influence within the orchestra, but the poor performance level of the group left him feeling discouraged. At this moment, the messy and foul-mouthed uncle Tendou (played by Toshiyuki Nishida), who claims to be a conductor, began conducting intensive training for the orchestra in an unacceptable manner.
