This film was nominated for eleven awards at the 1999 Australian Film Institute Awards, including Best Film, Best Director, Best Original Screenplay, Best Supporting Actor, and Best Editing. Australian actor Heath Ledger plays the lead role of Jimmy. It is a clumsy black comedy filled with absurdism. 　　 　　19-year-old Jimmy (Heath Ledger) is an inexperienced street punk who originally worked as a bodyguard at a strip club.
