The last typhoon of late summer approaches as Ting's wedding is set to take place. The peaceful life of the mother and daughter is shattered by a midnight theft. At her mother's request, Ting sets off from Guangzhou to Hong Kong to search for her father, whom she has not seen for twenty years. Along the way, she begins to regain her vague memories. When she was eight, her father, who was smuggling fruit between the two places, suddenly returned to Hong Kong and then vanished without a trace. Years of searching and the truth about her parents' marriage come to light. A heartbroken Ting encounters her senior, Yu Sheng, who is studying in Hong Kong, and stays overnight at his place.
