In a corner of the bustling city, single mother Kinko (played by Cocco) lives alone in an old apartment with her infant son, Daerō. For a long time, Kinko has been troubled by mental issues, seeing everyone who appears before her as two people, unable to distinguish who is real and who is not, her neurosis pushing her to her limits. The illusions temporarily fade away only when she sings. Meanwhile, her excessive worry and protection over Daerō exacerbate her mental state, ultimately forcing her to confront the fate of being separated from her son. One day, Kinko encounters the unremarkable novelist Tanaka Seitaro (played by Shintaro Asanuma). Seitaro is enchanted by Kinko's singing and boldly pursues her. Faced with this pessimistic, desperate woman on a path of self-destruction, Tanaka exhausts all methods to warm and heal Kinko's broken heart… This film won the Best Film Award in the Horizons section at the 2011 Venice Film Festival.
