In 20XX, a strong earthquake struck Japan, followed by a tsunami and nuclear leakage, leading to a crisis comparable to the Great East Japan Earthquake. In a small town in Nagasaki Prefecture, Yoshihiko Ono (played by Isamu Nagayama), who is engaged in cheese farming, was living a peaceful life with his wife Chieko (played by Naoko Otani), son Yoichi (played by Jun Murakami), and daughter-in-law Izumi (played by Megumi Kagurazaka). The earthquake triggered memories of the atomic bomb and rekindled distrust in the government. Soon after, the Ono family’s neighbors were forced to evacuate due to being within a 20-kilometer radius of the nuclear power plant, while the Ono family remained behind. To protect his children, Yoshihiko ordered his son to leave while he stayed to defend their homeland. During this time, some were searching for missing parents, while others developed a fear of nuclear radiation, putting immense psychological pressure on the community.
The situation showed no signs of improvement, and the Ono family was about to face a moment of decision...
