"Sleeping Beauty" is called the "Encyclopedia of Classical Ballet," created in collaboration by Russian musical genius Tchaikovsky and the "Father of Classical Ballet," Petipa. The work is adapted from the Brothers Grimm version of the fairy tale "Sleeping Beauty" and tells a romantic love story where light triumphs over darkness, goodness over evil, and true love conquers death. The Bolshoi Ballet debuted "Sleeping Beauty" in 1899, marking 120 years of performance history.
