In the southwestern part of Asia, in Anatolia, there lies a remote, desolate mountain area, silent and solemn. Just at dusk, three cars arrive from the other end of the mountain road and finally stop beside a fountain along the roadside. The people in the cars get out, appearing to be identifying something. It turns out that there was a recent murder, and the suspect buried the body in some corner of the wasteland. After being arrested, the suspect, along with local police, forensic experts, a prosecutor from the main town, and others of various backgrounds, searches for the burial site. The criminal vaguely remembers several landmark objects but cannot determine where the true burial site is. This group of people wanders through the valley all night long, chatting casually to pass the time, sharing their hidden thoughts and dissatisfaction with their current situation. The long night seems to have no end... The film won the Jury Prize at the 2011 Cannes Film Festival, the Best Director Award at the 2012 Dublin International Film Festival, and the Best Cinematography, Best Director, and Jury Prize at the 2011 Asia Pacific Film Festival.
