"Beast of Bongsan" is produced by a company under Kim Ki-duk, directed by the newcomer Choi Jae-hong, who was nurtured by director Kim Ki-duk. He previously served as the assistant director for Kim Ki-duk’s works "Time" and "Breath", and his debut film "Beautiful" was invited to screen in the panorama section of the 58th Berlin Film Festival, immediately becoming a hot topic in the South Korean film industry.
