At Matsuzai First High School, during the free time after school on Friday, an uneasy atmosphere spreads throughout the campus. Rumors swirl that the star player of the volleyball club, Kirishima, is leaving, and his decision causes a significant upheaval in the established social hierarchy of the school. In the twilight of the campus, members of the volleyball club, badminton club member Higashihara Saki (played by Ai Hashimoto), Kirishima's girlfriend—the campus beauty Risa (played by Mizuki Yamamoto), and his close friend Hiroki Kikuchi (played by Masata Higashide) are all puzzled as they search for Kirishima, ultimately finding nothing. Amidst this chaos, the film club president Ryo Maeda (played by Ryunosuke Kamiki) and the brass band president Aya Sawajima (played by Susuka Okou) seem to be largely unaffected. Living in the cracks of the campus, they quietly engage in their club activities, secretly harboring feelings for someone. Within less than a week, the inner world of the boys and girls undergoes a dramatic change… This film is adapted from Ryo Asai's debut novel of the same name and won second place in the 2012 Film Tsuushin's Top Ten Films. It also received awards for Best Film, Best Director, and Best Editing at the 2012 Japan Academy Prize.
