Little Bao (played by Yang Liangyu) is sent to the countryside to live with his grandfather temporarily as his parents are negotiating a divorce. Adapting from the bustling metropolis to the quiet village, Little Bao feels very uncomfortable and is thus in a gloomy mood. He transfers to a local school with only twenty-seven students, where he meets a girl nicknamed "Big Bear." Although Big Bear is the same age as Little Bao, she lives a completely different and difficult life, which deeply moves him. Big Bear becomes friends with a boy named Ming Quan, who secretly has a crush on her. Under Ming Quan's guidance, Little Bao enjoys the freedom of rural life, experiencing a different flavor of life. Meanwhile, the liberation of his spirit drives Little Bao to start contemplating the importance of life, friendship, and family ties.
