French gay Roban (played by Nicolas Maury) goes to Finland to learn sauna massage, and unexpectedly encounters true love and settles down, becoming a happy local postman. However, during a package delivery, he unintentionally becomes involved in a murder case, and his carefree life is suddenly thrown into chaos. To escape the pursuit, Roban runs back to Paris, seeking refuge from his Jewish family. Yet, his mother constantly wants to arrange a heterosexual marriage for him, his father has had an affair for decades, his sister is a victim of domestic violence, and the patriarchal brother has his own unspoken hardships. Coincidentally, Roban also slept with his childhood teacher. The controversies tie this tumultuous Jewish family together... Director Mikael Buch, a mixed-race 80s filmmaker, spent his childhood in Taipei and Barcelona and majored in film in France. This film is his first feature-length narrative. The director uses a progressively humorous approach to intertwine themes of sexual orientation and ethnicity, merging the pastoral beauty of Helsinki with the urban romance of Paris, creating a light-hearted and witty queer tapestry.
